Wishing you a safe and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I finished this order for a baby gift last night, and I just have to show you. I think it is my favorite so far of anything I have done! Somebody I know has to have a girl soon!

Jack and I had a fun afternoon lunch playdate with Andria and Madelyn. (I forgot to take pictures!) Andria needed to drop off an order for me so we just made it fun with Subway and playing! Except for the part where Jack decided to bite Madelyn! We are working on that, but I guess we need to work a little harder. I told Jack that if you go to MDO and bite they will kick you out after 3 times. He does not want to be the biter in the class. Sara Ann said someone has to be the class biter, but that someone can be someone else's kid---NOT MINE!

We have gone on the dreaded weekly post office run, tried on Halloween costumes for the party tomorrow night, planned our errands for tomorrow, and are going to enjoy a YUMMY steak dinner thanks to Mrs. Ellen that works with J. She has to be one of the sweetest people. Last week she sent Jack this adorable UT feeding set and sippy. Of course we could not wait to try it out! Jack loves his UT sippys and they are hard to find! (Could it be becuase we live in AL??)

Can you imagine??

Since I am not feeling so great today and felt really yucky earlier, Jack and I enjoyed a nice lazy morning playing and catching up on my shows. Watching Tuesday's episode of the Biggest Loser I sat there crying and thinking of what an amazing person this is.

To have gone through such a tragedy something that I don't think I could survive, she choose to live again. It made me thankful for the family and friends and the wonderful life that I am so blessed beyond measure to have. It also reminded me why I choose to get up everyday and put a smile on my face and a positive attitude. Just imagine what this world would be like if we all tired just a little harder...

I sure cherish these two people more than life its self and will remember to be thankful each day for what they bring to my life!

If you have not watched the Biggest Loser this season you missed out on seeing how amazing Abby is. She was voted off last night, but I am sure you can read her story online. I highly recommend it!

So Much To Say

You will have to excuse this post as I am fully aware that it is a little all over the place! We had lots going this weekend and lots to talk about.

Mrs. Ellen that works with J had a birthday today and Jack and I had to get the presents together. this morning. I decided to make her a little something too!

That is what I spent my weekend doing, so I thought I would share!

These were ordered for a birthday gift.

I did this, just in case Jack does not have enough to wear! HA!

J went to the UA vs. UT game and had a great time. I think he thought it was the best game he had ever been to. He also commented on the tradition that UA has and how neat their game day experience was.

While he was off at the game Jack and I shopped, but only came home with something for J (We love the new Land's End shop at our mall) then we went for Mexican and Boo at the Zoo with Pop, Aunt Em, and The Oatridges. It was crowded and a little too old for the babies, but they will love it in a couple of years! We stayed long enough to walk through it all, take lots of pictures, then headed to Starbucks for some warm coffee.

GO VOLS!!

My daddy said he is going to the UT vs UA game today with my Uncle Pookie. He told me he is very excited and that he hopes UT wins! I don't think they will, but I am going to wear my UT outfit today and hope! My mommy says we can be for UT as long as they are not playing Auburn.

Happy Football Day!
My mommy is taking me on a play date to the park today.

13 Months Old

Your big accomplishment this month has changed everything forever! I forgot what it was like when I could leave you in a room alone for 5 seconds or shower alone!

(Daddy's favorite picture from this month.)

At 13 months you are:
  • Weigh 22.9lbs
  • You are wearing 12 month clothes
  • YOU ARE WALKING EVERYWHERE!
  • You took your 1st trip to the ER for stitches. Everyone was surprised how calm I was and your daddy is jealous that you got stitches and he never did!
  • You jibber-jab all the time and say momma, dadda, pop, bye-bye, no-no while pointing your finger, roar like a lion, and say cluck-cluck like a chicken. Aunt Emmy and Gigi are dying for you to say their names and we practice, but so far Pop is the only lucky one!
  • You love Barney and stand by the TV moving back and forth until its over
  • We are still working on the biting thing
  • You refuse to drink milk from a cup. You will only take it in a bottle and we are down to 1 bottle a day.
  • We started brushing your teeth 2 times a day. It makes us laugh every time
  • When I get you up in the mornings you start yelling for daddy and as soon as he comes home at night you yell for him again.
  • You actually got to wear blue jeans, overalls, and an outfit mommy made you this month. That is a big deal since mommy does not like separates!

I am reminded each day how lucky and blessed I am to be home with you and watch you grow.
Love you more than you will ever know!

Gigi's Coming and Pumpkins

That is what we were so excited about on Friday AND the reason we did not blog all weekend!
We enjoyed time with her and got lots done. I needed some sewing help, Jack needed some love, and John was so excited to sleep late since Gigi gets up with Jack!

We took pumpkin pictures, I finished some sewing projects (like the outfit Jack has on in the pictures!) that I needed a little help with, shopped, and ate! We were sad to see her go, but looking forward to heading to LA in a couple of weeks for the peanut festival.

These are some of my favorite pictures! Its hard to believe last year he was small enough to fit in the pumpkin!

I Jump, You Jump, We all Jump

We spent a fun day Friday with The Downs shopping, eating sushi, chick-fil-a, and then at IJump!

Jack was a little unsure at 1st, but he warmed up just as we were leaving and I got a major workout. Laugh all you want at the pictures. I sure did!

Lots about our fun weekend with Gigi and Pumpkin pictures tomorrow!

Sweet Sixteen

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY JORDY!

Today the baby of my entire family (until Jack came along!) is 16. I can remember that bald little head and the way she crossed her fingers and did not want to be held. It seems impossible that she is 16 today. We hope you have a great day and that you pass your drivers test!!

LOVE YOU LOTS.

How Cute

Really, how cute is my little model sleeping away during our Wal-Mart trip! He slept the whole time. I always have a beach towel in the car, because you never know when you will need it!

And speaking of cute...

Our cute little princess, Aunt Shan, and the boys are coming today. We can not wait to see them! I also worked in the sweat shop last night and made Syd this precious shirt. I can not wait for her to see it! (sorry about the quality of the picture I used my phone!)

Busy Little Bees

See he is all boy...already back at it playing with the $10 toy that will probably end up costing $300, so I am glad he still likes it! No swelling and a good nights sleep, he was back at it today and my heart is getting back to normal too!

Can you tell by his pj's what I have been up too?? (We had to have something to practice on) Here is the few things I have done since I got my embroidery machine--which I heart more than anything AND have the best husband for buying me something that he had NO idea would keep me up until midnight most nights! And I thought I might need some evidence as to why I say I have no time for blogging anymore.

Our 1st Emergency Room Visit....What???

Jack is all boy, and we learned that very quickly today with our 1st trip for stitches! It only took 13 months! HA! (I am really okay about it now and can make a joke. Earlier today..not so much!)

He is just not steady on those little feet and fell right into the corner of his wooden toy cube. He hit it just right! After a lot of blood, a panicked call to daddy, a trip to his Peds office, then to the Children's Hospital ER he is peacefully sleeping. And don't worry I took pictures!

Waiting for mommy to talk to the doctor's office...

Not happy about that pink band aid or having to wait on the ER doctor...

After the sweet nurse gave him tons of stickers, hugs, and paraded him around the ER so all the doctors could see how cute she thought he was, he finally went to sleep in the car...HAPPY!

I will be okay if we don't have to do that again for a LONG TIME!!

Anniversary Wishes!

Happy 2nd Anniversary Aunt Em and Uncle Pookie!
Hope you have a very happy day! I think you are the best!

Weekend Recap

There were lots of firsts at our house this weekend, which made for a much more exciting weekend!
  • The VOLS actually won the game and Crompton did a decent job for once!
  • Auburn lost... bad!
  • Em and I went to see Rent on Broadway for the 1st time. It was fabulous.
  • Jack fell and got his first busted lip. It was not too bad and the swelling was gone the next day. I felt so bad, but he did not even cry.
  • We had yogurt at Yogurt Mountain and it was WONDERFUL! A concept unlike anything I have seen before. Like an assembly line you get your cup, yogurt(which they are fat free), then your toppings and there are 100's. When you are done, you pay by the ounce. It is such a neat place to visit!
  • JACK GOT HIS 1ST HAIRCUT! And you can see for your self how it went!

He did stop crying when we got bubbles out and as long as he did not look at the hairdresser he was fine. I think the sucker was well worth it to him! Needless to say, I do not plan to take him for a haircut b
y myself for a while!

We'll go walking

I have been trying since last weekend when Jack started really walking to capture a video and I finally lured him with a Zaxby's cup! ha! Everyone says he looks too little to be walking and I have to agree. He is becoming so much fun these days and his new favorite word is no-no. (He will even shake his finger while saying it. Think he has heard that before??)

Oh, His daddy dressed him today! He looks cute in his polo and jeans, but I am a much bigger fan of smocked, appliqued, and monogrammed one pieces. He has the rest of his life to wear a polo shirt. I am for sure not complaining about the fact that I did not have to dress him today.

Tuesday Tidbits

It seems as though I only have time these days for one hobby, and blogging has not been a top priority. I think it has a little do with not having enough time and a lot to do with feeling like I just need to focus on Jack. We started this blog as a way to record our memories and adventures for us and we are glad that you have decided to stop by and check up on us when you can. Forgive me if I don't blog everyday, I am trying! (Don't want the Grandparents to get upset about not seeing Jack's picture enough!-Just kidding-We love that you want to see that sweet boy!)

With that said this is what happened at our house today...

  • I decided to get my feet really wet with my new monogramming machine and did this. This was a practice round, and I am going to do it again on a brown and white gingham longall for Jack.
  • I monogrammed Jack some pjs.
  • Jack decided that he did not care that the VOLS were defeated Saturday he wanted to support them anyway!

  • We visited Fresh Market just to get some Halloween pretzels and smell the yummy fall smells.
  • I actually cooked a dinner of chicken potstickers and dirty rice. (Yummy!)
  • J got home early from work, which was a nice surprise.

WAR EAGLE!!!

J and I were lucky enough to get to go to the game in Knoxville this weekend. We are a house divided when it comes to Auburn and Tennessee, and lucky for me my team won!!

J was clearly disappointed when his team did not do so well and I took every opportunity to rub it in!

Thanks to some friends, we got great seats and had a fun kid-free weekend. J caught a field goal, I got AU #19's game glove, we stayed at the same hotel as Erin Andrews (I did not even know who she was! ) but I have no proof since DH would not let me get pictures. And for all you guys, YES she is as pretty as you think! We had breakfast the the yummy, yummy Apple Barn, and took a LONG drive home to get baby boy! And boy was I more than ready to see him. I think I actually ran into my dad's house!

While we were gone Jack had lot's of fun and probably did not even notice we left!

He cheered on the VOLS...

And the Tigers...

Ate at his FAVORITE restaurant...

Acted VERY silly...

Played in the cabinets AND got a fishing shirt and jeans! (I think Pop was trying to let me that he does not need to wear smocked outfits all the time and that he needs to have some VERY boy clothes!)....

AND got lots and lots of love and attention!

Today is my turn! I missed that little stinker who is walking everywhere! What has happened to my little baby??
