PJ Days

This week has been yuck and cold! We needed the rain to wash away some of that yellow stuff that is on everything, but a day or so was enough! Bring back the sunshine! In the meantime we will be inside playing in our pj's! (except for that must trip to the grocery store in the pouring rain, oh and the stop for fabric too! But don't worry we did NOT wear our pj's to the grocery store)

March Leftovers

Since March is almost over and I have been a terrible blogger and picture taker this month here are the leftovers that I just did not get around to showing you! There is always next month to do better!

Testing out the new stroller in the garage. Must have snacks to do this!

What mornings around here look like. Movie theater setup complete foot rest and all.

Sweet chunky monkey!

This is the day and the only day that Jack has ever eaten any kind of meat besides chicken! He liked it that once! HA!

A little list

I LOVE reading lists that people put on their blog. I think it might be because I am a list maker and love the simple neatness of it, so since its been awhile here is my list to catch you up!

  • Gigi came to visit this weekend. I did not take one single picture, check or reply to any emails, and actually spent a Saturday shopping for the 1st time in about 3 1/2 months
  • Em, Henry, and I helped mom find some super cute clothes for her vaca to FL
  • Uncle Kyle and J took Jack to the gun show. Jack apparently loved it and came home with two rubber roaches that he loving refers to as his bugs. He loves to try to scare you with them
  • Speaking of bugs on Friday the same little boy decided to pick up a may fly and put it on me! I hate may flies and he thought it was hysterical to watch me squirm
  • Jack is still obsessed with his water table and sings the Jake and the neverland pirates song as his way of asking to go out and play with it...its just about one of the cutest things ever!
  • I am not in panic mode with work for the 1st time in about 2 months AND I am actually going to spend some time this week working on stuff for the boys since their Grandi made them some super cute stuff that needs monograms and shirts to match
  • Henry has started laughing lots and it melts my heart. He loves when you talk to him and will just smile. I can not believe he will be 4 months old on Saturday
  • I was clearly not prepared for cold weather this week and felt awful that I dressed the boys way to springish for church yesterday
  • Have a mentioned that I love, love, love that J cooks dinner most nights and that we are all slightly obsessed with this. Make.it.today. I promise it will change your life, even if you thought you did not like olives.
  • I am ready for a vacation, but not really ready for the turning 30 that is coming with our vacation this year! I am thinking 29 again!
  • Our taxes are finally filed and paid. YEA!!
  • I signed Jack up for MDO this summer. He needs playtime with his friends and I need to work and take the occasional trip to the grocery without having to use Mentos as bribery
  • I am having withdrawls from Hobby Lobby and must go this week
  • Really, really, really need to buy some new blue jeans and get a pedicure ASAP, like as in should have done it yesterday!

Oh Hump Day

Today has been one big comedy of errors, but at least now it is half over! YEA!! I am really trying to not cry and just laugh it all off as I sit here listening to Jack knocking on his bedroom door because he does not want to take a nap! He is staying in there until 4pm, so I guess he better find something to entertain him or else take a nap. (If only I had 2 free hours locked up in a room with my bed!)

Jack LOVES LOVES LOVES his water table and we enjoyed a couple of hours out there last night when J got home from work. Henry likes to be outside too, so I guess with all these boys I better learn to love it and the lovely smell that comes with it.

I am learning to manage working with two and this week has really tested me. I have been very lucky and worked hard to make Tootlebugs sucessful. I know it will pay off, but boy! It has given me the ability to be home and enjoy extra things with the boys. I also have some great help now in Emily and she is bringing some new stuff to the table which is fun too. If only I could convenience her to quit her day job!

So I am not going to sweat the small stuff today, but just don't cross me! HA! And love these chunky monkey legs some more, even if it means staying up until midnight again to get work done! Its worth it!!

It over..Hallelujah!

I think I might just let out a little version of the hallelujah chorus tomorrow when Jack gets out of the car at MDO. Its been a VERY long Spring Break with both boys having RSV and J swamped at work. He has really been good for the most part, but we have also enjoyed lots of togetherness. He woke up this morning asking for his school friends, so I think he is a little over me too! When I got him out of his room after the nap he did not take. He had his golf visor on and demanded that I let him look at himself in the mirror, then he said cheese mommy and sat patiently in my sewing chair while I took his picture, and then demanded that we send the picture to daddy. Oh and then we had to call daddy about the picture. He is one little ham!

Henry on the other hand is just as content as can be. He is such a sweet baby and probably going to be my laid back much less high maintenance child, other than when he is eating!

I also decided yesterday against J's opinion to get this for Jack.
We do not have a yard and this would fit perfectly in our newly fixed up courtyard and give Jack something to do outside without me having to be right there with him. J did not like the price, but I scored a good coupon, so after a quick trip to Buy Buy Baby Jack can now play away with his water table! And considering that he played out there Sunday for over 2 hours with a Home Depot bucket of water, I think I made the right choice!

Filling In

Well we survived the nasty RSV that we all caught, and after coughing, throwing up, fevers, up all nighters we are finally better and got to enjoy the last couple days of spring break this past weekend! Jack looks like he was in a cat fight after our Friday night cookout with 7 little boys! Yep everybody there has boys..not a single girl, so you can imagine what that was like!

Anyway, last weekend before all the sickness really got going J took Jack to see his parents and his sister and her family. They had a great time and Jack got lots of playtime with his cousin Hampton!

Aunt Em and I took Henry and off we went to visit IKEA! We had never been and it was so much fun. I think we stayed there for about 5 hours and spent way too much money. Henry was a great traveler. We ate lots of yummy food and got to shop at H & M before heading home.

Park date today, and then its back to school on Wednesday for Jack! ( YEA!!!)

Roll Over Beethoven

Guess who is rolling over at our house? Last night J was folding laundry and Henry just rolled over. I quickly stopped vacuuming and got to see it too! Then we grabbed the camera...

The boys have RSV, so that is why we have been MIA this week! Its been a long week and I hope we are all better very quickly so we can get out and enjoy this yummy weather!

A little ride on WaQueen

Everytime I watch this I die laughing. He can sure hike his legs and only my child would have to stop mid ride to throw a small fit to see himself on the video!

Random...

Most mornings I try to take a shower before J leaves for work. It just helps tons even if it is at the crack of dawn, but some mornings no matter how much I try it just doesn't work out that way, so Jack provides musical entertainment for Henry with a few pinches, getting in his face, and me standing in the shower saying no 50 times a minute, but for the most part Henry likes it, unless he is trying to sleep!

I try to remind myself that Jack and Henry really don't care if I have had a shower or not and we are home most of the time, so its not likely that anyone is just going to pop by, and if they do just pop by, so what if I have spit up all over me and greased up hair! If I looked this cute in my pj's I might not care!

Yesterday was purple day at school. That is a hard one for boys, so I remembered this shirt I got on sale last year when we were visiting J's parents. I got it out and put a quick monogram on it. It worked and he looked super cute...to grown up, but cute. This summer its all jon-jons because I know once the potty training starts our jon-jon days are over. And is it bad that I would rather continue to buy diapers for two than give up jon-jons?

For the most part Henry is sleeping through the night and waking up around 4:30 to eat. (I consider 10-4:30 the whole night) I am really having a hard time thinking of putting him in his own room. I know he probably won't be my last baby, but if for some reason he is...I don't want to let him go just yet. Plus he is a really good snuggle buddy!

Tomorrow is going to bring some much needed fun and a break for all 4 of us!
Can't wait to step away from the monogramming machine for 24 hours!

Pink Tommy

This is pink tommy...

and Jack is a little more than obsessed with it. And in case you don't know what pink tommy is...it's Aunt Em's Ipod of course!

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have been busy. Life with two is a lot different, but I am loving every minute of it and honestly I like busy. Of course it does help that I have J who is good at helping out and Pop and Aunt Em close by too. Since I had planned to go to a bridal shower for Landen (a high school friend who was in my wedding) on Sunday Pop decided to come get Jack on Saturday morning and let him have a spend the night party and I picked him up after the shower on Sunday. (After a trip to my fav. store for cheap smocked clothes) Jack had lots of fun and even mastered riding his "WaQueen"(that is two year old talk for Lighting McQueen, and no he does not have a little brother named WaQueen)

It rained and got very cold over the weekend, so we stayed in our pjs

but I got lots and lots done including the tax prep work that I had been putting off for months now, we finally got new patio furniture on sale (after almost 4 years), and Saturday night I went in a flood to stock up on diapers at Big Lots. 20% off makes a HUGE difference especailly when they already have the cheapest pampers around!

It was fun to meet a new baby and see very old friends, now if the weather would just get back into the 70's my little world would be just perfect again!

Sweet Smiles

This makes me smile!

If I get the camera out, Jack will stop what he is doing and give me this and say cheese mommy...like I am smiling so hurry up already!

Dear Henry: Month Three

Dear Henry,

I had really good intentions of doing a number onesie for you every month until your 1st birthday. Time got away and I missed month 1 and 2, but I got it together at month 3 and I could not have been happier with how it turned out!

I know I say this every month, but 3 months have gone faster than I ever imagined and even faster the 2nd time around. You are the sweetest angel and you are a mommy's boy! I love it that I can make you smile and laugh and no one else can! Yes, you laughed for the 1st time this month and you are just about to roll over. You are still my big boy weighing in at about 17lbs and you are blowing through clothes like I have never seen. It breaks my heart every time I have to put more smocked goodness away especially if you have not gotten to wear it at all. (and we have lots of those!) You are wearing 6-9 month clothing, and I am praying that we don't have another cold snap because I don't know what we will do! You are becoming a good sleeper and wake up usually just one time between 11pm and 6am. Yet somehow your brother missed the night time memo and he has decided to start waking up 3 times a night, now that you are sleeping so well! I just can not seem to make myself put you in your room yet. I am working on it, but I just can not do it yet! You LOVE the swing and you often swing away while I work on monogramming and we talk the mornings away. (well I talk and you coo!)

I think Jack has realized he loves you and it has become more and more obvious in the last month. He loves to get in the car from school and make sure you are right there to greet him. He can still pester, but I keep telling him that you are bigger than him and it won't be long until you are able to pester back!

We love you chunky monkey and are so thankful God gave you to us! Oh how I want to make time stand still so I can hold you when I want, kiss you when I want, and just sit and take in those innocent smiles!

A Day to Celebrate!

Today we are celebrating in a big way!

Fifty nine years ago today a woman was born who grew up and raised a wonderful son who 9 years ago today became a husband to me and 3 months ago today a father for the 2nd time to a beautiful healthy baby boy!

Now in case that confused you...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDI!!

(We love you and hope you have the best day and we promise to make J call and sing the birthday song!)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!
(After 9 years I could not be more thankful than the life that God has so kindly blessed us with or more thankful for the circumstances (although they seemed so hard at the time) that led me to you! For that I will always be thankful, but most of all I am thankful for the 2 perfect little boys that you gave me and made us a family. I could not ask for more!)

HAPPY 3 MONTHS TO HENRY!
( Dear Henry post is coming tomorrow!)

Thumb Sucking

I know its so cute, right?
