Sweet Boy!

This sweet boy doesn't feel very good and has a yucky cold, but I did enjoy the 4 hours he slept and let me just hold him this afternoon. After all that laundry can be done later!

Weekend Recap

It was a beautiful weekend here with the weather in the high 60's! So we took full advantage of the wonderfully short flip-flop weather weekend.

We had a little "date night" Friday night at our favorite restaurant!

Jack played golf with daddy at the sporting goods store, while I shopped the fabric store.

Played trains and read books at the book store, and then came home and had to take apart and clean Jack's car seat due to an awful blow out that got me, J, and Jack all very good! But I saved the outfit..thank goodness, because it is the most expensive one he owns!

Saturday I worked the consignment sale at our church. It is an awesome one, and while I did not score that much for Jack I did find 3 precious outfits for his cousin. Jack played outside with Aunt Emmy and they enjoyed and afternoon of sunshine. Jack LOVES to be outside, so it was no surprise that he only wanted Em and had nothing to do with me when I got home! (However, I am trying to learn loving outside, it is just that sweaty kid outside smell I have to get past!)

Tootlebugs Lately....

Party Time!

Aunt Em comes over once a week for dinner (i.e. play with Jack) and since her 26th birthday is Sunday we decided to have a "little" party for her.

My mom ALWAYS made a great fuss over our birthday's and we still think that is very necessary! We celebrate birthday month AND birthday week is a week long extravaganza!

I made meat loaf, mashed potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts (they are good I promise!) and we had her favorite Butterfinger cake for dessert.

Jack wanted no part of our dinner (which he normally likes) but devoured the butterfinger cake like he hadn't eaten in 10 days!

Aquadoodling Fun and Chick-fil-a Dates!

Jack is ROTTEN, but I guess you already knew that! He got lots of fun Valentine's treats this year!

Aunt Shan is the best CPA we know, but with that job also comes several months of constant work and no fun. I think she is having withdrawals from Jack, so she just had to send him some fun things for Valentines! He loves to write, so the Aquadoodle mat was the perfect gift!


Gigi and Jeepers also had a great gift idea when they sent Jack chick-fil-a gift cards! I think we will enjoy some lunch dates in the next few weeks!

And let's not forget that my husband is a pretty awesome gift giver too!

Valentine's Date!

Jack's best friend came over Saturday to bring a sweet treat to Jack and little did they know we had already planned a fun little play date and yummy lunch outing!

We spent a fun and tiring couple of hours at iJump and then out for some yummy fish tacos. Both, Reed and Jack had cookies on the brain, so forget that $3 wasted on cheese quesadillas because all they were not having any part of it! And if I could eat a big fat yummy cookie from Edgar's Bakery and still lose weight, then that would have been my lunch too!

Snowy Day!

After 85 million phone calls from every family member we have wanting to see pictures of Jack playing in the snow I decided I had better hurry! And yes, it really is snowing like crazy in Alabama! HA!

Oh, and to answer some questions I have had lately...

Yes, Jack does wear pants, but we take them off at nap time and he is sometimes just too grumpy to put them back on. I really don't have time for pictures in the mornings, so that is why you get to see a no pants boy! WE DO OWN PLENTY OF THEM!

Yes, he does still wear all of his fancy pants clothes everyday, but this video was taken right before bed time, sorry I will try to do better about showing you his fancy clothes!

Reading, Writing,and Arithmetic

Jack has always loved books and will sit and look at them for hours. In fact, he has one book he loves so much that J and I can both recite the entire book without ever even opening it! But lately he wants to write ALL THE TIME. Thank goodness for this...

Otherwise we would probably have writing all over our walls!

Beach Time!

We headed south Friday to visit J's family for the weekend.

We ate lots of yummy food, got a little cold, played, shopped at the outlets, and I got my "baby fix." We had lots of fun and Jack was completely worn out from all the attention and playing.

Baby Hampton who is SUCH a good baby and just as happy as can be all the time. I think I only heard him cry once the entire weekend!

Just a Peek

The embroidery machine has been HOT HOT lately, so I thought you might want to peek at what I am making. I finished the cutest V-Day shirt for Jack today, that you will get to see, soon enough :)
I think I am going to have to take a two week break from taking orders so I can get Jack's summer wardrobe done!

The name shirts are so popular right now. I can not wait to make Jack one.

If you are ever around any men in John's family then you will immediately know what I am talking about, and for those who haven't THEY ALL stand just like this! However, they are not as addicted to Barney.

Sucker Time

This picture cracks me up, so I had to share. Jack has learned about suckers recently and he loves them! (They also work great for a little bribery too!)

And yes, we do own pants, but we just don't wear them for nap time!

Spend The Night Party!

Pop called and wanted Jack to spend the night Friday night, so I agreed thinking of all the things I could get done and where John and I could go for an "adult" dinner Friday night.

Of course I was a little sad (as always) when I left him and wanted him to be too, but after a quick bye-bye he was off to play!

He got to stay up late, skip nap time, eat ice cream, and go see the fish being fed and play at Bass Pro Shop. When we met up Saturday to pick him up, he was contently rocking away and watching the fish!

Since then a majorly awful stomach has thrown me for a loop, and kept me in bed all day yesterday. We are moving around today, but the thought of F-O-O-D still gets me! Thank goodness for J and that so far the boys haven't gotten it! (I sure hope they don't!)
