The Details!

I know I have been a total slacker in the blog dept. I do have 100 million excuses. Jack has been on Spring Break for the last week and a half and we have played instead, I have been sick, sick, sick leaving no energy for blogging, and due to the sick, sick, sick there really has not been much to say!

I know you want the details, so here they are!

More than 2 babies has ALWAYS been in our plans, but we have a small house(that is currently on the market), both boys are going to MDO in the fall, and I really wanted to focus 2012 on my business. So a baby this year was not in the plan, however God's plans don't always involve me or my plans, so here we are. 14 weeks into this pregnancy and minus the head hanging over the toliet EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.AND.NIGHT. we are excited.

Jack reminds me daily that there is in fact a baby in my belly, and even he says its a girl, but he only wants a brother! HA! We will know soon enough and a healthy baby is really all I care about.

Here's how it started:

One Saturday morning at the end of January I woke up with a killer migraine. I don't have migraine's and everything I took was not working. So of course I consulted the internet, and I came across something that said hormone headaches from pregnancy won't go away with Tylenol, etc. I ignored it for the most part, mentioned it to J over dinner, he ignored it for the most part, then he bought a pregnancy test the next morning while out for an early Sunday morning paper. Well, obviously it was positive. I let that sink in for a few days before I called my OB's office. I have had a history that includes a miscarriage they wanted me to come in immediately to draw my HCG levels. I did that with two kids in tow every other day for a week. My levels were great and climbing like they should, so we scheduled our 1st ultrasound visit at 6 weeks and 4 days.

My doctor could not get anything to show up on the ultrasound, there was a sac, something else behind the sac he could not identify and no baby that he could see. I was starting to panic. They quickly sent us back to the high tech ultrasound girls. There was a baby, heartbeat was fine, sac was fine, baby measured just like it should, but there was a hematoma behind the sac. I of course was in panic mode again, but my doctor and the ultrasound tech were convinced was fine and I had nothing to worry about.

3 weeks later he wanted to see me, but with our year long planned Disney trip I had to wait 4 LONG weeks. Thankfully I have been so sick, it made me feel better that things were moving in the right direction. I prayed lots, and at my 12 week appointment (a few days late) on the 15th we got a great heartbeat at 168, I gained 3lbs, and got more zofran to keep me from throwing up so much!

We decided to share the news with help from one of my favorite bloggers and design girls! We are so excited and can not wait to find out what this baby is next month!

Life is Full of Surprises

Disney Day 5

I know how long could I possibly drag out the Disney pictures, but I promise today is it! But the good news is I saved the best for last!

Our last day was spent at Hollywood Studios. And it was by far my favorite day! Every one was feeling better and well rested, we had a yummy lunch with Disney junior pals, had front row seats for the afternoon parade that included all of Jack's favorite movie characters, enjoyed frozen lemonade, escaped the rain during lunch and afternoon autographs, and the best part....Jack got a personal parade from two of his most favorite characters...Caption Hook and Mr. Smee! That was the highlight of the trip.

The girl who helped hook and smee with the line for autographs and pictures with them said she had never seem a child smile so big! We spent 10 hours at Hollywood Studios and everyone left happy!

It was the most fun we have had with our boys, and Jack asks daily if he can go back. He asked me yesterday if he started using the potty could he go to Disney World! (And I think if he would I would say yes!)

Disney Day 4

Day 4 was spent at the Animal Kingdom. Of course that was a hit. The big ride there is a safari ride to see all the animals. Jack kept saying mom look take a picture, mom take a picture. Of course I was snapping as fast as I could.

We had lunch with Donald, Daisy, and Goofy at the Tusker House. It was a yummy lunch with an African flare. We discovered Henry's love for hummus and that orzo pasta cooked right is yummo!
The Lion King show was by far the best show we saw the entire day and Henry and Jack LOVED it and danced the entire time!

Disney Day 3

Lack of sleep was catching up with us by day 3 and we all were starting to cough from allergies thanks to that lovely yellow dust that is everywhere!

We slept in, ate yummy croissants for breakfast and headed to Epcot. We knew that it would not be a full day there and we were glad!

We rode the few rides there that Jack was tall enough for (there are not many rides there anyway) ate the best lunch at the Coral Reef while fish and sharks swam around us, and J and I walked around the lake to see all the countries while both boys napped for 2 hours!

We had dinner in our hotel room and we were all sound asleep by 6:30pm!

Disney Day 2

Day Two came early...very early! We did not slept good at all the night before, and we had to be up really early to catch the bus to Magic Kingdom, then the monorail to the Contemporary Resort for breakfast with Mickey. No problem since we were all up anyway!

Thankfully everyone was all smiles too! These were my favorite outfits they wore the whole time we were gone.

Breakfast was yummy and fun. Jack hugged all the characters and was obsessed with getting autographs. Henry did not cry and would wave from a distance, but he did not want the characters to touch him at all!

We did Magic Kingdom until after lunch, then headed back to the hotel to try and get naps. That ended with Henry sleeping for about 30 minutes, Jack and J playing at the arcade, and then us heading back to Magic Kingdom around 5 to meet up with our sweet friends who were there too. Sharon worked with me and was at the hospital when Jack was born. She is like family and Jack adores her! It was fun to spend some time with them and to give our arms a break from lugging kiddos all day!

Disney Day 1

We had a blast on our week long Disney trip! Taking the boys at this age was perfect! They both loved it and enjoyed themselves so much! It was amazing to watch.

We left on Sunday hoping to make it at least half way. We ended up making it all the way to Orlando in 11 hours with 3 stops! The boys were great and Aunt Em scored us a great priceline deal.

We headed to our Disney hotel early Monday morning, our room was ready, we checked in and added an extra day to our park hopper tickets and off we went!

We spent the day at Magic Kingdom and finished the day off with a quick safari tour at Animal Kingdom before making our dinner reservation at Rainforest Cafe.

10 years

Its hard to believe that 10 years ago today J and I got married. We were such babies with big dreams. Lots of our plans have worked out just the way we anticipated and many have far exceeded our expectations. Of course life has not always been easy and we have had our share of big bumps, but today as I sit and think about what God gave me 10 years ago and the life we have I would not trade a single second for anything!

Happy Anniversary to the best friend, husband, and father a girl could have! Love you more than you know!!!
