The Details!

I know I have been a total slacker in the blog dept. I do have 100 million excuses. Jack has been on Spring Break for the last week and a half and we have played instead, I have been sick, sick, sick leaving no energy for blogging, and due to the sick, sick, sick there really has not been much to say!

I know you want the details, so here they are!

More than 2 babies has ALWAYS been in our plans, but we have a small house(that is currently on the market), both boys are going to MDO in the fall, and I really wanted to focus 2012 on my business. So a baby this year was not in the plan, however God's plans don't always involve me or my plans, so here we are. 14 weeks into this pregnancy and minus the head hanging over the toliet EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.AND.NIGHT. we are excited.

Jack reminds me daily that there is in fact a baby in my belly, and even he says its a girl, but he only wants a brother! HA! We will know soon enough and a healthy baby is really all I care about.

Here's how it started:

One Saturday morning at the end of January I woke up with a killer migraine. I don't have migraine's and everything I took was not working. So of course I consulted the internet, and I came across something that said hormone headaches from pregnancy won't go away with Tylenol, etc. I ignored it for the most part, mentioned it to J over dinner, he ignored it for the most part, then he bought a pregnancy test the next morning while out for an early Sunday morning paper. Well, obviously it was positive. I let that sink in for a few days before I called my OB's office. I have had a history that includes a miscarriage they wanted me to come in immediately to draw my HCG levels. I did that with two kids in tow every other day for a week. My levels were great and climbing like they should, so we scheduled our 1st ultrasound visit at 6 weeks and 4 days.

My doctor could not get anything to show up on the ultrasound, there was a sac, something else behind the sac he could not identify and no baby that he could see. I was starting to panic. They quickly sent us back to the high tech ultrasound girls. There was a baby, heartbeat was fine, sac was fine, baby measured just like it should, but there was a hematoma behind the sac. I of course was in panic mode again, but my doctor and the ultrasound tech were convinced was fine and I had nothing to worry about.

3 weeks later he wanted to see me, but with our year long planned Disney trip I had to wait 4 LONG weeks. Thankfully I have been so sick, it made me feel better that things were moving in the right direction. I prayed lots, and at my 12 week appointment (a few days late) on the 15th we got a great heartbeat at 168, I gained 3lbs, and got more zofran to keep me from throwing up so much!

We decided to share the news with help from one of my favorite bloggers and design girls! We are so excited and can not wait to find out what this baby is next month!
