Since we SURPRISED you last week with our pregnancy announcement, I thought it was time to share all the details including ultrasound evidence!

On a Monday in late March after some convincing, thinking that there was no way I could have possibly gotten pregnant so quickly. I decided to take a quick trip to Walgreens for a PT test. And well...those two little lines popped right up as bright as flashing neon lights. I was shocked, excited, and a little scared. I thought we were ready for it, after all we knew what to expect, right?
I made Jack the "Big Brother' shirt that I had been dreaming about for months and we surprised J when he came home from work. It was our little special secret and would remain that way for several more weeks. Having lost a baby at 7 weeks, I knew that I would have to see our baby before I would believe it was real and on April 27th, J's 28th birthday (YES, I thought it was 29, maybe I was just wishing he was as old as I am! HA!) we got to do just that!
We got to see the heartbeat, arms, head, and our ONE baby! At that moment it was almost real and I begin to let myself get a little more excited. Time as flown and it is hard to believe my 1st trimester is quickly coming to an end and the excitement is growing each day as that milestone is quickly approching. We are 12 weeks closer to meeting our little Christmas baby and can hardly wait.
The days of waking up and having to hang my head it the toilet are ending and J is relived that early morning trips for Chicken minis and Dr. Pepper are not required to make it through the day. The exhaustion is still showing up, but I know that will soon end!
Jack is going to be the BEST big brother and I am most excited for him because he doesn't even realize in 28 shorts weeks he is going to become a big brother, hero, and best friend.
I have lots more to share about our big news, assuming I can stay awake at night to update the blog! Between a 19 month old and a constantly running embroidery machine, I am doing good to make it past 8pm!
