Weekend Mishaps or Adventures (if you want to call them that!)

We had great big plans this weekend to visit The Down's in Pulaski, until Shan and I decided that it was probably best if we did not come since we were not really sure about this swine flu thing! (you probably think that is so funny! I know I sound like a crazy lady, but NO 7 month old needs the flu of any kind! Especially one that comes from pigs that they no nothing about.) So John kept his plans to meet his dad for golf and Jack and I stayed home.

Since we had no agenda, I had plans of us getting out strolling the outdoor mall, having lunch, and enjoying the sunshine, well it turns out that Jack refused to take a nap of any kind ALL DAY LONG from 5:30a to 7pm the child was up. Every attempt failed. (As you can see below)

and I finally got to take a shower at 4:30pm! Needless to say we spent a lovely day at home. (And I don't want to mention that we had also been invited to the beach)

By the time John got home at 8p I was worn out and grumpy. I had even practiced my speech about how I was spending the whole next day ALONE, getting a pedicure, shopping, and eating chocolate chip cookies(my favorite thing in life, that you must avoid when desperately trying to rid of unwanted baby weight) AND guess what I didn't have to say anything. John walked right in with Cookies, a magazine, and $$$ for a pedi. (No he is not for sale!)

So determined for a day alone off I went! This is what I left! Of course sleeping away. (Yes that is a tag from the pillow over is face. They are his obsession!)

I was shopping my little heart out and excitedly smiling half naked in the dressing room at the size I had just put on and buttoned when over the loud speaker this announcement: THERE IS A TORNADO IN THE AREA, PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE SALON FOR COVER!

WHAT?? Oh yes I spent my oh-so-fun-day-alone in the salon at the dept store wondering if I was going to die with all these strangers! Needless to say when the warning lifted I ran back to that dressing room and got my oh-so-cute clothes and went home!

Funny how things turn out! I actually enjoyed my lazy afternoon with my two favorite boys! Much better than shopping alone!
