Christmas 2008

Christmas Morning! (yes, we all have on Christmas pj's a tradition in John's family that we continued.)

We had a mostly uneventful Christmas (except for the $350 mirror damage John did to my car on Christmas afternoon, trust me it is really funny now, but not at the time.) Jack was mostly underwhelmed with his Christmas gifts, but we had fun with it and will probably wish we had more Christmases where we only had to spend $50 on Jack's gifts. We spent Christmas morning at home which was nice and fun since we had never done that before. And Christmas afternoon we headed to Dothan to spend the weekend with my family. Trying to see everyone at the Holidays is so hard, so we spent the Sunday before with my Dad's family (see pictures) and Thanksgiving with John's.

Christmas brought a whole new meaning this year for us with the birth of our son Jack, but most of all it made us realize what it must have been like for Mary and Joseph to be parents of a baby that would be sacrificed to save the world. John and I have learned to love each day and never take what we have for granted. Hope 2009 brings the same happiness for you that 2008 brought to us.

Now on the the fun part...the pictures!
