TWINS, CLONES, AND MINI-ME

While watching TV tonight I looked over at John who was holding Jack and just died laughing. It is so funny how much they look alike. I'll admit I did not see it at 1st, but gosh it seems like he is John Henson more and more each day. Anyway I made them pose for a quick picture. Jack is so stinking cute, so I guess his daddy is not to bad either!

Jack's Four Months...That means time for CEREAL!!!

CEREAL UPDATE...
THIS PICTURE IS PROOF OF THE SLOW CEREAL PROGRESSION! ONE DAY!!

John and I took Jack for his 4 month check up today. Unfortunately for Jack it's not much fun because of the shots, but we love his Doctor and think she is wonderful, so I was excited to see her plus I knew today we would add cereal!

Jack slept a lot today which made the day drag and it did not help that I could not wait for tonight and the 1st attempt at Cereal. I will just leave it at that because the pictures say it all.

Oh, Jack was 13lbs 6oz and 24 inches. My little guy is growing!

This is how it started..not good

Week of 1st's

Last week was a fun week for us. It was a week of fun 1st's for Jack and me. It was my 1st week as a stay-at-home-mom, so I was excited that I was home to see all his new tricks. He is rolling over, has found his hands (and they ALWAYS end up in his mouth, grabbed at toys, and laughed. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY HE IS SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT IN HIS ON BED!!!

Yes it was a big week. Here are pictures of our exciting week.

Christmas 2008

Christmas Morning! (yes, we all have on Christmas pj's a tradition in John's family that we continued.)

We had a mostly uneventful Christmas (except for the $350 mirror damage John did to my car on Christmas afternoon, trust me it is really funny now, but not at the time.) Jack was mostly underwhelmed with his Christmas gifts, but we had fun with it and will probably wish we had more Christmases where we only had to spend $50 on Jack's gifts. We spent Christmas morning at home which was nice and fun since we had never done that before. And Christmas afternoon we headed to Dothan to spend the weekend with my family. Trying to see everyone at the Holidays is so hard, so we spent the Sunday before with my Dad's family (see pictures) and Thanksgiving with John's.

Christmas brought a whole new meaning this year for us with the birth of our son Jack, but most of all it made us realize what it must have been like for Mary and Joseph to be parents of a baby that would be sacrificed to save the world. John and I have learned to love each day and never take what we have for granted. Hope 2009 brings the same happiness for you that 2008 brought to us.

Now on the the fun part...the pictures!

Jack Smiling

I have been trying for weeks to capture a picture of Jack smiling because it is the cutest thing ever. I have of course had no luck, but Emily was able to capture this picture while waiting on me at the bank. Isn't he the cutest!!
