Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday morning was the annual Easter Egg Hunt at our church. It was fun last year, but even more so this year since Jack is not a baby anymore and actually knew what was going on AND because he got to share the fun with his cousin Hampton and his grandparents.
They were only allowed to pick up 5 eggs, which is VERY hard to explain to an 18 month old and then they were traded in for suckers and toys!

Jack did NOT like the Easter bunny at all! So strange because he LOVES Santa. I guess he has figured out that Santa spends more money on toys! HA!
It was a fun way to spend our Saturday morning!

Fish and Golf
We decided that we just could not pass up the Spring Break special last week at the local kid's science museum so we joined for the entire year! Jack loves it there and it will be a great little trip on rainy and very hot days! We grabbed the Rutland's and had a fun day. (We even took some time for Chick-fil-a and TCBY)

Playing with Pop
Jack's Pop loves to fish, and he does not want golf taking over without Jack learning to fish too!
So, when Pop came by yesterday and brought us our favorite lunch from Chick-fil-a he also had a new fishing pole for his favorite boy.

My video camera was dead, and I know these pictures appear boring, but he was SO FUNNY to watch with the fishing pole. He could not grasp the idea at first, but after his nap time all we wanted was the fishing pole! The older boy in our house liked it too!
(On a side note, I know you think I let my child run around in just a diaper all the time, but I really don't and he actually has VERY cute clothes. We were getting ready for nap time and had Honey Roasted B-B-Que Sauce all over our outfit!)

18-Months-Old
I can not believe you are 18-months-old today and before long you will be 2.
It seems totally unimaginable.
You are the joy of our lives and we could not have been given a greater blessing.

What you are up to these days:
It seems totally unimaginable.
You are the joy of our lives and we could not have been given a greater blessing.
What you are up to these days:
- You weigh approximately 25lbs
- You are wearing mostly 18 month clothes, but still some 12 months
- You are OBSESSED with golf and must have a club in your hands at all times. We have them in the car, we take them to the grocery store, the fabric store, to lunch with friends, and you even cry for them as soon as you wake up in the mornings. You have also discovered that your daddy's clubs are more fun to play with, but they have to stay outside.
- You love balls of any kind
- You LOVE to be outside and cry when you have to come inside
- You are a sweets eater and we really have to watch you. I think you would eat suckers, cookies, and animal crackers all day.
- Your newest words are juice, Reed, Gigi, wait, ball, and you still say Ma all day long!
- You love to drink from a straw, especially restaurant cups
- Every time Aunt Em tries to get you to say her name you just look at her and laugh. We know you can say it, but you just want to aggravate her
- You have started giving the best hugs with your little arms around our necks, but you also have learned that a good hug melts your mommy and daddy when you get into trouble
- You are such a friendly little thing and we love that about you

Green Day Review
I had great intentions to make Jack a cute as pie shirt to celebrate the day, but I has 17 orders last week, and well time just got away. So we or rather Jack (I don't really like being "required" to have a certain fashion for the day) wore his green that he had and we celebrated the day together with a trip to the grocery store, some fresh baked cookies with green sprinkles, and dinner with friends at the Mexican restaurant. (I am fully aware that it was St. Patty's day and not Cinco de Mayo)This was the 1st time I let Jack "help" me make cookies. He was so funny to watch during the whole thing and he even stood at the oven while they were baking!
I let him have ONE before nap time
which he thoroughly enjoyed, and then had a small meltdown when he could not have anymore before nap time.
And when he woke up from nap time with cookies still on the brain, we had TWO more! I was sure that during his 2 1/2 hours in sleepy land that he would forget about those cookies, not a chance. I even had to send them to work with J the next day just to get them away from Jack. The boy has a sweet tooth for sure!

Bitter Sweet
Our sweet friends, the Rutlands moved back to town this past weekend and we are so excited even though we wish it was under different circumstances and that it is only temporary! Michael is deploying this month and Stephanie decided that with a new baby AND a busy 5-year-old that they better come home close to family!
We have already planned our fun play date for this week (which of course involves some yummy Chick-fil-a) and I can not wait to snuggle with that sweet baby Will!

These boots were made for walking
Pop and Nana stopped by yesterday for a quick visit. Of course when you bring an 18 month old a jumbo bag of 300 dum-dums you are for sure the hero! Jack had 2 while they were here, and then I had to discreetly find a hiding place that is also high enough that they will not be found! (He is always getting into the cabinets and eating whatever snacks he can find! Popcorn is our new obsession) We will have enough dum-dums to last a year!

Jack played in Pop's boots, cried when they left, and refused to take a nap. By late in the afternoon, I was beginning to rethink not letting him just go with them! HA!

Our Week
This past week despite the rain we have had lots to do! And Jack is finally back to taking a nap which is good, because Tootlebugs is very busy!
Gigi made this for Jack while she was here. I love it and can not wait for him to wear it. (And, no I am not going to monogram it!)

We shopped at Target with Aunt Em, and she put girly headbands in our hair. Jack thought it was VERY funny.
We went to the bowling lanes to watch J bowl for a local charity and to see some of my old work friends. Of course Jack got what ever he wanted and LOTS of attention. He had popcorn, pizza, and even got a gold medal!

Then we went on a date with J to the new TCBY for some (fat free) frozen yogurt. YUMMY! can you tell we enjoyed it? I really can not believe I put a picture of myself stuffing my face for all the world (or one) to see.

Random Friday
- Gigi and Gran are coming this weekend! We are going to the big Spring gift show at the civic center.
- We bought Jack's summer shoes yesterday. He has only grown 1/2 of a size in 6 months. Lucky us since shoes are very costly. He was VERY bad during our shoe shopping trip. So bad that I was totally embarrassed and had to spank him and hurry right out of the store. I think the terrible two's have hit our house! HA!
- My mom thinks I need to read the "Strong Willed Child" by Dr. James Dobson. My sister and my husband think Jack gets his behavior from me and my dad said that I was a perfect angel and that Emily was the bad child, so looks to me like his behavior comes from his Aunt Em!
- J is bowling with work tomorrow afternoon to raise money for charity. His team name is Living on a Spare and ironing the transfer on the t-shirt he is supposed to wear was a complete disaster!
- I stopped and got J his favorite Baby Bites yesterday, and I of course had to eat some too. I guess I blew my weight watchers points, good thing today is my 4+ mile walk!
Have a Happy Weekend!

Tootlebugs Lately....
It's Thursday again...
so I thought you might want to see what Tootlebugs has been making for our happy customers this week! I think it is the week for girls, I did do a couple of boy shirts, but we'll just let this be all about the girls!
This is my favorite this week. Is this not the cutest swim cover up? If Jack would not look a little silly I would def. make him one, but I have not completely ruled out making one for me yet HA!
