Peach Pie

One of our most favorite things about summer is peach pie. My mom made it for us growing up and it was always a special treat since you need fresh peaches. Since we visited the local farmer's market on Saturday I decided to make one and it was YUMMY! We ate it for dessert last night, which is also a treat at our house and it was gone in no time (there were 2 extra people here! HA!)

Jack ate from everyone else's plate and then his own. Apparently he likes peach pie!

We are headed to have some fun today since it is our last day with Colby and Sydney!

Last Vacation Post!

Our last two days of vacation were bittersweet. We knew that Jack would be so sad to leave all the attention and the water, we were sad to have to go back to work and chores, but ready to get the drive home over with and the house re-cleaned and 18 loads of laundry done. We spent our next to last night exploring the other parts of the forgotten coast, eating oysters at Boss Oyster, and shopping. If there is somewhere to shop within 100 miles I will find it!

Our day was spent at the beach and lunch at the local pizza place. We had more seafood for dinner and made one last stop of ice cream. After packing up and getting Jack ready for "bed" we decided to head home thinking that driving 7 hours with a sleeping baby would be much easier than 7 hours the next day with a tired and grumpy baby and it was the BEST decision we could have made!
We are ready for more beach time soon!

Vacation Day 4 and 5

On Tuesday of our vacation it brought more fun in the sun at the beach, books to read, and

a yummy and spicy shrimp boil finished up with the yummiest chocolate chip cookie dough in a waffle cone ice cream I have had EVER! Jack enjoyed it too, but I think that was mostly because Pop gave him way to much of whatever he wanted!

Wednesday we did a little more beach time, but since everyone was getting a little pink we decided to spend the afternoon being lazy and napping and that was heaven! We woke up just in time for J to eat oysters with Aunt Em, Uncle Kyle, and Pop. For obvious reasons Jack and I did not indulge, but that did not stop Jack from trying as he took a dive, head first into the ice chest full of oysters and yucky oyster juice! We even had the bump on the head to prove it.

Vacation Day 3

I guess you are wondering what happened to days 3-7 of out vacation! Well they were just as wonderful as days 1 and 2 and I had every intention of writing a very detailed post of each day this week, but life is very unpredictable with a 21 month old and we have been so busy. I really thought today was only Tuesday, so let's catch up!
We arrived at the beach house late Sunday afternoon, unpacked, got everyone situated then headed out for dinner and a the 15 minute drive to the grocery store!

We decided to take a walk on the beach as the sun was starting to set and take some pictures of Jack since he looked so cute

and then he did this...

Head first right into the water! We knew we were going to have our hands full for the next week!

Vacation Day 1 and 2

We decided to start our vacation a little early and spend an extra night visiting Gigi, Geepers, and my Gran since they are on the way to the beach! We ate too much, shopped a little, and Jack got to spend some time golfing with Geepers, who is a AWESOME golfer!

Between Jack's grandfathers, he should be the best golfer and fisherman to ever live!

AND

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GEEPERS TODAY!
WE LOVE YOU AND HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!

16 weeks

WOW! I can not believe it has been 4 whole months since we found out that you would be our Christmas gift this year! Your big brother keeps me on my toes all the time and we stay so busy that I think it makes time fly. We got to strain to hear your heartbeat of 154 today while your brother was shouting mommy, mommy, mommy. Thankfully you are letting me wake up without throwing up every morning, so our morning routine is changing since your daddy doesn't have to make his morning Chick-fil-a runs. (between you and me I sort of miss it) And I got to dance another little jig at our appointment today since I still have had no weight gain! YEA!
You are roughly the size of avocado, but my belly is starting to look more like the size of a small cantaloupe. No maternity clothes yet, and dresses is about all I can stand in this heat!

I can not wait to hold you in my arms and love you to the moon and back!

(16 week baby bump)

No Picture Sunday

We decided to try traveling home at night to see if that would make the somewhat long ride easier with Jack. Thankfully it worked out well, but we were some tried kids when we finally got home at 2am and crashed!

We unpacked, did about 10 loads of laundry, and had a fun lunch and quick visit from J's dad today. Jack warmed up quickly and would not let him out of his sight. They made a mess of ice cream at lunch, but ten sticky fingers and stained clothes later we had a sleeping baby!

We had a great time on our week long vacation and were very sad to see it end. Don't worry I have lots of pictures (thanks to Aunt Em) and lots to talk about!

See you tomorrow!

Tootlebugs Lately...

This is what we have been working on lately and thought you might want to see! I finally got an outfit done for Jack YEA! I think it is the 1st one this summer and it was an after midnight project, but it turned out cute for the beach! If you would like to place an order email me and be sure to check us out of Facebook!

We Are Ready

The stayed up way late last night but the car is packed (and I sure hope we will be able to get in there) and we are almost ready for a week of fun in the sun! We are most excited that J is getting to go with us for the entire week and we plan to do nothing and enjoy each other!

I decided that Jack needed a few more things to wear (yea, right!) so I worked late last night, but he will have some new cute things to wear at the beach in addition to the 50 other outfits I packed. The rest of us might not look so cute, but Jack sure will!

We might not be around much this week, but I promise to take lots of pictures and update you when I can! And on a totally random note I will leave you with this...

He looks so big to me! I guess he is not a baby anymore!

Special Delivery

Jack is VERY spoiled, so of course I was not at all surprised today when I went to the mailbox and there was a package. But when I opened it I got really excited because Jack's Grandi made him the cutest thing that will make our lunch dates and dinner outings much more pleasant!

She even made his best buddy one since they have lots of lunch outings! I know you want to know what it is.. well it is a monogrammed place mat with a chalkboard on the back, and when you are done just wipe it off, roll it up, and stick it back in the diaper bag. Don't worry this thing is going to live in our diaper bag! I am sooo excited about it and could not wait to show Jack when he woke up from his nap, but all he cared about was trying to put the packaging in the dryer!

We stayed busy today and I even bought a little treat for myself! I bribed Jack with candy and actually got to look around Target for a whole hour! That NEVER happens! I only spent $6.99 on these little slippers..aren't they cute? I thought I could use them for our upcoming beach trip since no one wants to walk around on someone else's dirty floor.

After nap time we played Choo's

and took an after dinner stroll complete with a 1st class melt down that including a spanking and lots of screaming. What else is new, the terrible 2's have made their way to our house! Oh you can be jealous too, because we had fried pickles at dinner!

It's A Long One

So if I tend to bore you run now, and if you dare to keep reading, you might want to sit and grab your coffee! I have had wonderful intentions of blogging everyday since Thursday and we just decided to have some fun and forget the computer world, so I will catch you up now.
Friday Jack and I headed out early for some fun at the science center and to check out the new Mr. Potato Head exhibit.

Jack did not like Mr. Potato Head, and cried for Barney the entire time! But he did like the new sea life exhibit and we played hard until we had 2 VERY hungry boys and moms! And since I was craving chicken salad from Zoe's Sara Ann and the boys decided to make the pregnant girl happy and we enjoyed a nice lunch on the patio before the rain came pouring down.

I (thankfully) had a very sleepy boy when we got home and I paid bills then started sewing. Since we are headed out for a week long beach vacation very soon, I am not taking new orders right now, but trying VERY hard to get all my current orders out before we go. I just can not stay up until 2am anymore, no matter how hard I try!
I had one happy boy after his nap because he got his 1st Chuggington book in the mail from Aunt Shan. He was so excited and I could not believe she found it.

Chuggington is so new on the Disney channel that she had to have it shipped from another country! Now that is LOVE (oh, and that she wanted to beat my dad at sending something! Think Jack is just a little bit spoiled?) Her kids are coming to stay with Jack this summer and I am going to do whatever they want!

Saturday was girls morning out complete with pedicures, shopping, and yummy bang bang shrimp from BoneFish for lunch. I am glad I enjoyed those 4 precious hours out because I came home to a sick husband and a child who refused to nap! I tried everything to get him to sleep including a car ride, that ended with ice cream since he would not sleep!

J slept most of the day and ALL night, while I slept upstairs and got repeatedly kicked over and over and over by a little boy who would scream every time I quietly tried to sneak him back to his own bed. After waking up to his feet in my face and head buried between my legs I gave up and decided who needs sleep anyway!

Today I made a Wal-Mart run before 7:30am, did some sewing, then enjoyed a afternoon date out with J. Aunt Em came to babysit and we headed to a late lunch and the movies. I think that was my 1st movie in like 2 years, so you can imagine my face when this cute little blond came be-poping 2 seats down from me with her 7 month old! Seriously? I got a babysitter so I could actually watch a movie without a baby screaming! Minus the climbing over us several times she was pretty good and made little noise. I totally enjoyed the movie and J was so nice to sit through a chick flick with me!

This week is going to be CRAZY busy, but I think I will be a better blogger!

Park Day

Yesterday was HOT, but we packed a picnic and headed to the park for a play date. We stayed a reallly really long time and sweated alot, but Jack had so much fun and the best part...he took a really long nap! YEA! I guess we will be visiting the park more often, hot or not!

Today I must finish all the Tootlebug's orders so we can take a break and go on vacation. Here's hoping Chuggington and all these toys can entertain Jack some! We also have something fun planned for tonight, more on that later...I gotta go sew!
