Won't we be the cutest family on the beach next week? Yep, that is right we are taking a week long vacation with some friends. So that means I am also going to cherish this time with my family and enjoy our trip. I will see you in about 9 days with lots of pictures and stories!

Broken High Chair

This is what Jack's high chair looked like when I tried to put it together!



And this is what it should have looked like!



As you can see it was clearly bent, so I called them. Guess what?? They sent us a brand new high chair AND I got to keep the old one! Just a little banging on the side and it is now our spare in LA (Lower AL)I am so glad I bought this high chair!!

And how cute is this baby in his high chair?? (watching TV just like his daddy)

9 Months Old

GUESS WHO IS CRAWLING???

We now have a crawler in our house! Babies R Us here we come! I see baby gates, plug covers, cabinet locks, and more in our near future!

John thinks this was the BEST FATHER's DAY gift he could have received! I am glad he was home to see it. I forget that I get to see so much that he misses while working.

Happy Father's Day

As we sat in church this morning I was reminded of how fortunate I am to have a husband who is a provider so that I may stay home with our son, who is willing to help out with anything without complaining, who wants to come home from work and spend time with his son. I know I take those things for granted sometimes and I know I am not always easy to deal with, but most importantly I want Jack to ALWAYS know how lucky he is to have John as his father!

Happy 1st Father's Day. We love you very much!

Bye Bye Play date

Jack's week long playdate (Sydney) went home Wednesday night. She was getting a little homesick, and frankly I did not blame her. 4 days away from home is a long time for a 7 year old. Jack woke up yesterday and was looking all around. He just knew something was missing!

We spent the day yesterday resting and then a quick shopping trip to Target. Beach towels were calling, and I needed to get them so they could be monogrammed, of course!! We were in desperate need of new ones. Now what to do with that random assortment I have hanging around.

BE sure to visit us on Monday. Somebody has a BIRTHDAY!!

Shopping Day

We spent a few hours at the mall today trying to avoid to the 95 degree heat! We had lots of fun, except by the end of the day this is what Jack thought about the mall! HA!



Of course I forgot my camera, but after all who takes the camera to the mall? So I had to use my phone. Jack and Syd rode the carousel, the elephant!



Syd got LOTS of clothes for nothing! I do love a sale! And she found this for her bedroom in their new house. I think she wanted me to take a picture for a hint to her mother! It is VERY CUTE.

Zoo Day Take Two

Sydney wanted to go to the Zoo again today, so we waited until Jack's friend Reed could go and headed back! (We are going to get our money's worth of our membership!)










Much hotter today, BUT this time

-We saw the Hippo



-Sydney got to ride the camel (Reed wanted to ride the camel!)







-The Children's Zoo was open (and as you will see in the pictures Syd and Reed took full advantage of the water)








-we got to walk through the butterfly house
-See the lions and tiger
-Feel a rhino tooth, horn, and skin

Zoo Day

The Downs came to visit Saturday afternoon and Sydney decided she just could not bear to leave "Baby Jack" so she is staying with us for a few days. (I like it because she is such a help) I will have lots of pictures this week, I am sure!

We took Jack to visit the Zoo for the 1st time on Saturday! He loved it! Good thing I got a year membership. Somehow I think we will take lots of afternoon walks around the animals.

After walking around for a couple of hours, Caden in the most serious voice stated He was ready to leave the wild! Is that not the cutest thing?
